Yunkai Xu (徐云楷) is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Informatics at Penn State University, under the supervision of Prof. Saeed Abdullah. During the summer of 2025, he is engaged in research at the RINGZ Lab at the University of Notre Dame, under the guidance of Dr. Diego Gómez-Zará.
He completed the undergraduate degree in Industrial Design at the School of Computer Science and Technology at Zhejiang University. During this time, his advisors were Dr. Wang Guanyun (王 冠云) and Dr. Wei Xiang (向 为).
His research interests encompass Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human-AI Collaboration, and Design. He seeks to understand user behaviors and expectations in real-world scenarios, create conversational AI systems that enhance various human-AI collaboration and build a more efficient, trustworhy and engaging experience for human.
Engaged in research on design and fabrication, focusing on innovative manufacturing processes and design workflows.
Contributed to digital human projects through user research, interaction design, motion design, and visual identity.
